so i was brainstorming and asking God to give me a really fun and appropriate title for my update newsletter and was thinking about all the things the newsletter was going to be about and came up with the new title – so from now on when you see this in your ‘subject box’, you’ll know it’s the newest and latest info! :~)
‘THE SPIN’ will be the new title – as in ‘getting the spin on things’ or spinning the record, as some have already pointed out :~) which again is fun and appropriate – but wait, there’s more!!! ‘SPIN’ also has it’s own acronym about what the newsletter will hold:

Well, that’s it! :~) I’ll let you all know when there’s new information – as of yet, have not solidified a date to meet up with Randy, so we’re waiting on God’s timing! S.P.I.N. #3
STUDIO TIME
we’re headed for the very first time to the studio on February 16th and will be doing several things there – 1. – we’ll be meeting Randy Green (the recorder and producer) for the first time 2. – i’ll be playing through ALL of the 26 top songs 3. – he’ll be picking the songs for the first and second albums from those played 4. – and he’ll be really listening to the songs and telling me whether i’ve really got a reason to do this from an objective, not-getting-paid-to-be-nice-to-me-yet perspective :~)
PRAYER REQUESTS
the same prayer requests from last time are the current ones here:
1.- that Randy would have wisdom in picking the songs for the first album
2.- that the musical team would come together smoothly for practices and
for studio time as well – for both time sake and cost sake and durability sake :~)
3.- and that Dan and I would have wisdom in the balancing act of this added now to our lives of already being a family and being in ministry together :~)
INTERESTING TIDBITS
when dan and i went to the youth pastor’s and wives retreat this last week, it was really funny how many, without telling them anything about what’s going on yet, asked about when i was going to start recording – – i know God continues to give me those little tidbits of encouragement and confirmation and i’m so grateful for them! He has started this work, and i know that, just like in our lives spiritually and personally, He will be faithful to complete it! :~)
NEXT STEPS
Once we have met with Randy on the 16th of February (2008) and the songs have been picked for the first album, the music team will begin meeting to practice – trying to overall perfect about 3-4 songs at a time – once we feel we’ve done that, we’;ll spend time recording and perfecting in the studio – that’s really where the rubber-meets-the-road and we’ll be (hopefully) flowing with creative juices and will start implementing ideas in making each song its own unique music and message for those who will listen to the finished product :~)
